OH CLEMENTINE’S HEARTSTRINGS FINDS THE BEAUTY IN HOLDING ON AND LETTING GO

A WARM, INTIMATE ODE TO FAMILY, COMMUNITY, INCLUSION AND THE JOURNEY OF PARENTHOOD- OUT SEPTEMBER 25th

Oh Clementine, the family folk project led by early childhood educator and songwriter Jessie Schellenberg, will release Heartstrings on September 25. Warm, honest and deeply human, the album is an intimate ode to the beautiful, messy and ever evolving journey of raising children. Through tender melodies and heartfelt storytelling, Schellenberg explores the profound joys and quiet heartbreaks of parenthood while honoring the “village” that helps families thrive. Woven throughout the album are themes of community, inclusion, neurodiversity and the universal tension of wanting to hold on while learning to let go.

Heartstrings captures the many small moments that make up family life, from the playful chaos of parenting to the wonder of the natural world.

At its heart, ‘Heartstrings’ is a love letter to children and to the parents, caregivers, educators, friends and communities who help them grow. It celebrates the laughter, questions, uncertainty, wonder and tenderness of family life, while acknowledging that one of the hardest and most beautiful parts of loving a child is learning when to hold on and when to let go.
