2017 Grammy award winner Secret Agent 23 Skidoo’s new EP, Mozartistic, breaks new ground in blending symphonic music with hip hop technique. The unusual recipe of orchestra matched with drum machines, drum set, record scratching and sophisticated rhyming create flavors irrestable to youth more used to the radio than the theater. By recontextualizing the sounds, stories and compositions of the classical tradition with a modern feel, 23 Skidoo builds a bridge for new listeners to enter.
Lard Dog & The Band of Shy have energetically burst onto the family entertainment scene. In the past year they have converted the families of Earth to be fans of their quirky universe and highly infectious tunes. With a summer of new show dates, a Parents’ Choice Award, frequent airplay on kids radio stations, an XM radio special and impressive reviews and accolades continuing to roll in, the oddball alien from Belopio is beginning to feel like coming to Earth was a good choice.
Since their fall run at NYC’s 13th Street Repertory Theatre Lard Dog & The Band of Shy have captured the attention of kids, parents and innocent bystanders. With poignant songs about kindness, tolerance and acceptance presented in with unfiltered, absurdist humor, it’s high energy and true good clean fun that engrosses the audience, no matter what age. Described by one reviewer as a “Rocky Horror Picture show for kids” and another as “Pee Wee Herman meets the B52’s”, The New York Times said Lard Dog & The Band of Shy have “a Devo sensibility”, all on point and noble comparisons well earned by this truly imaginative group that goes to the beat of their own drummer… her name is Whoops Lady Wonga.
Who is Lard Dog? He’s the alter ego of multi-media artist Steven Erdman, complete with his musical, whimsical, and comedic sensibilities. Life’s A Real Dream’s story and music takes a dash of Dada, a sprinkle of Lewis Carroll, a teaspoon of beat poetry, and a cupful of everything-and-the-kitchen-sink. In these super catchy original songs, words and lyrics are selected for the fun sounds they make and the funnier images they conjure. It’s the sort of free-form silliness that invites young minds to dream big and free. Accompanied by a first-rate six-piece band playing the imaginative music both skillfully and with heart, young and old alike will be feeling the intergalactic groove.
So do you have some toes for tapping? Do you like to sing and dance? Do you like pie? Or pretzels? If so, then get ready to boogie. Lard Dog & The Band of Shy have the perfect collection of tunes for you and your family. Come play along and slurp the noodle of life! After all, Life's AReal Dream.

Since his creation by Morgan Taylor in 2005, Gustafer Yellowgold has become an international phenomenon, acclaimed by The New York Times, which described Gustafer as “A cross between ‘Yellow Submarine’ and Dr. Seuss.” Entertainment Weekly praised “…The most infectious original songs. It’s like tapping into some pleasure center in the brain- both adult and kid…absurdly appealing.”

Billy Kelly has been on the scene as a family musician for many years which has earned him a Grammy nomination and many rave reviews. For his latest endeavor, Billy has been performing stand-up comedy shows for families in hope of starting a new way for kids and parents to get out and share some laughs together. Billy's new release, My First Comedy Album is a live stand-up comedy album and is meant for the 8 and up crowd.
Billy likes to think of this as comedy toast with the crust cut off; if that crust was made of swear words and jokes about dating. So basically there is none of that stuff — just good clean laughs and absurd fun that people of all ages can enjoy together. Because the world needs more of that sort of thing!
KB Whirly is a magical, groovy, get up and dance performer who sings with passion, charm, and humor. KB’s throwback vibe could be compared to Dick Van Dyke’s character from Mary Poppins. He’s a folksy, hand clappin’ toe tapping’ troubadour with great lyrics – serving up comedy, poignancy, and irrepressible fun for all.
On Camp Songs KB Whirly revisits his favorite camp songs while adding a few originals into the mix. A fresh take on the traditional “camp songbook”, you can expect to dance, laugh and sing - as KB Whirly proves you’re never too old - to be a kid again.
