To develop talent and foster a new cohort of artists creating high-quality music for kids and families, Lincoln Center Education/LC Kids is piloting a Family Music Residency program to provide support to musicians interested in expanding their practice to include family music. In addition to rehearsal space, mentorship, and collaboration, participating artists will have the opportunity to perform at Lincoln Center and in the community through Lincoln Center Education and the LC Kids Artists at the Atrium Series. On ¡Alegría!, a bilingual album for families, she shares some of the themes that make her happy like migrating butterflies, waking up early, wild flowers, jumping bunnies, rattling maracas, being grateful to her parents, playing with her band, and of course, singing about birds!
